It’s almost summer and you know what that means – BEACH TIME!
Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich has once again stepped up to sponsor an inexpensive way to spend a day at the shore, by sponsoring the Summer Beach Shuttle Service from the SCV to the sands of Santa Monica.
The Beach Bus will operate from June 16 to September 6 on Wednesdays, Fridays and Labor Day.
Cost for the service is $4 per round trip for children and adults. For senior citizens (age 60 and older) and people with disabilities, the cost is $2 per round trip. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by a fare-paying parent or guardian.
The Summer Beach Bus will run on the following schedule (allowing for traffic, which may vary arrival and departure times) from the following locations:
Bus to Santa Monica Beach: 9 a.m. Castaic Sports Complex parking lot; 9:30 a.m. Richard Rioux Memorial Park (at park entrance); 10:30 a.m. arrive Santa Monica Beach Pier.
Bus to Santa Clarita Valley: 3:30 p.m. Santa Monica Beach (inside the parking lot); 4:35 p.m. Richard Rioux Memorial Park (at park entrance); 5 p.m. Castaic Sports Complex (in parking lot)
