A suspect wanted for the attempted rape of a 12 year old girl is caught. The suspect, Marcus Fennell Pierce, was apprehended earlier today in the San Fernando Valley. Pierce was wanted in connection with the attempted rape and battery of his 12 year old niece on Monday in Canyon Country. Police received reports that Pierce may have been hiding out in a motel, and had the area under surveillance. Once found, the suspect was brought into custody with no resistance. Sheriff’s officials are holding a news conference today at 1:30pm in Whittier to discuss the details.
