Suspected Burglars In Custody After Rush Hour Activity

khts_crimeFour suspects are in custody after a late afternoon call alerted Sheriff’s Deputies to a possible burglary of a storage unit near the intersection of Springbrook and Drayton Streets.

Sgt. Gary Miller told KHTS that they received a call around 5 p.m. about the burglary in progress and that four suspects had been arrested after deputies discovered a storage unit that contained a large amount of potentially stolen property.

Miller described the property as car stereos and electronics.

When deputies approached, the suspects attempted to get away, causing some traffic tie-ups in the area. Deputies were successful in confining them and traffic cleared quickly.

Investigators are still on the scene.
