Deputies arrested a Saugus man for suspected marijuana sales early Thursday morning.
According to Lt. Joseph Efflandt of the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s station, deputies arrested Piero Salazar, 34, around 2 a.m. near the intersection of Alaminos and Cero Drive.
They confiscated three vials of marijuana, a ‘pay and owe’ book and $5,000 in cash from Salazar.

He was booked at the Santa Clarita Valley station on suspicion of sales of a controlled substance. He remains in custody at the station in lieu of $20,000 bail. Salazar is due to appear in court on Monday.
