For the past 32 years Santa Clarita residents have been celebrating the Los Angeles Dodgers by attending SCV Dodger Day.
SCV Dodger Day is a day where all Santa Clarita residents are invited to Dodger Stadium to enjoy a game with neighbors and friends.
For this year’s game against the Colorado Rockies on May 8, the SCV Dodger Day Committee is looking for non-profit organizations, schools and community businesses to help sell tickets.
“Santa Clarita residents have supported the Dodgers for more than three decades, and we are very proud to continue this great relationship,” said Josh Rawitch, Director of Public Relations for the Dodgers. “Not only does a portion of the proceeds from Dodger Day support local schools and organizations, but it is also a way to spend a day at Dodger Stadium with neighbors and fellow community members.”
Groups or organizations that purchase and sell more than 25 tickets will receive $3 to $10 back per ticket.
In addition to getting to see a game at the iconic Dodger Stadium, guests will also enjoy a youth parade with children from the Santa Clarita Valley, followed by the National Anthem sang by a Santa Clarita resident, as well as a host of other fun activities.
“In past years, the SCV Dodger day has donated more than $10,000 annually for our local schools and non-profit organizations,” said Santa Clarita Mayor Laurene Weste. “I encourage local organizations to take advantage of this great opportunity to give to a fun cause benefiting those who need it most right here in Santa Clarita.”
Tickets for the 33rd Annual SCV Dodger Day can be purchased in groups or individually at the City of Santa Clarita’s Sports Complex Aquatic Center, located at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway, or on-line at www.scvdodgerday.com.
Tickets will also be available for purchase at KHTS.
