This April 15 is the Federal Government’s favorite day. It’s the day they get paid and we pay up.

People are never excited about tax season and one group of local tax payers aims to let the government know they are unhappy.

Thursday, April 15 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. a Tea Party rally will be held in front of City Hall on both sides of Valencia Blvd. The rally aims to promote fiscal responsibility, limited government and free markets.

Protesting taxes isn’t the only objective for the rally. The group will also be collecting canned food which will benefit the SCV Food Pantry. The Food Pantry provides supplemental food to qualified low income Santa Clarita residents.
