Tempered Steel Veterans To Speak At Gelig Fundraiser Luncheon

geligarmyThe Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce and Tempered Steel, a nonprofit organization that supports returning Iran and Afghanistan war veterans, will host a luncheon Thursday, Nov. 3, to raise funds for the Sgt. Ian Gelig Memorial Scholarship, which aids military veterans and their immediate family members.

 

The luncheon will be held at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Valencia from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $35.

Tempered Steel provides support to those suffering the most debilitating traumas from Iraq and Afghanistan by encouraging peer to peer support, educating the public and providing direction and assistance to programs and services that meet their needs. Tempered Steel’s goal is to have at least one severely injured soldier in each state to speak to schools, community groups and assemblies about the stories behind the scars.
