Community Education and College of the Canyons invites the public and campus community to attend a "Tennis Block Party" from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, on COC's six new state-of-the-art tennis courts at the Valencia campus.
This event will kick-off new tennis class sessions offered through community education and COC. Attendees will have the chance to meet with professional tennis instructors Vicki Sanchez and Kent Ganevesky, as well as sign up for their respective age group's class on the spot.
Each 8-week class session will include instruction by the professional coaches, and equipment will be provided by the United Tennis Association (UTA).
Since the new courts opened at COC, the college has been receiving numerous phone calls from the public hoping to utilize the facilities. In response to the inquiries, community education has teamed up with College of the Canyons to offer classes for tennis enthusiasts of all ages, beginning as young as age four.
