County/city vision plan to be discussed at public meeting.
On July 15, the third of five Planning Commission Study Sessions on One Valley One Vision (OVOV), the Joint Valleywide General Plan, will take place.
At this planning session staff will present the Draft Land Use Element and map. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. and will be held in the City Hall Century Room. Areas covered in this element include, but are not limited to, zoning, urban form, regional growth, community design and schools.
The One Valley One Vision planning sessions are dedicated to continuing public participation and leading discussions concerning the many drafted elements of the One Valley One Vision plans.
City Planner and OVOV project manager Jason Smisko said, “The Draft Land Use Element reflects the City’s as well as the County’s objectives and policies for responding to planning trends and urban growth patterns in this Valley for decades to come.”
The Draft Land Use Element can be found online on the City’s website at www.santa-clarita.com/vgp. County staff members from the OVOV team along with project consultants will be in attendance.
