Third Thursday Returns To Old Town Newhall This Week

pallette-3The third-ever Third Thursday will be held in Old Town Newhall this week from 5 to 9 p.m. The event features an Art Walk and hospitality stops at various businesses, a Farmers’ Market on Market Street between Newhall Avenue and Main Street, with a wide variety of produce, snacks and dinner items. It’s a unique opportunity to socialize and stroll along Main Street.

This month’s artists include Santa Clarita Valley Artists Association President Laurie Morgan, who will be displaying her works at the Canyon Theatre Guild, where there will be a wine and cheese reception.

“Third Thursday Art Walk has been gathering momentum,” said Laurie Morgan, president of the Santa Clarita Artists’ Association (SCAA). “Many of our members’ art is showcased here. We’re proud to bring art to the remodeled Main Street in downtown Newhall.”

Cookbooks Plus will feature the artistry of Olga Kaczmar, and OutWest Marketing will play host to photographer Ken Lubas, glass artists Laila Asgari and Paggy Wyly and weaver Rick Ayers, as well as feature the music of Barry Eisen and Native American flute player White Feather.

Artists Jane Mick and Evie Cook will have an art boutique on the patio of El Trocadero at the corner of Main and Market Streets.

At Capelli’s Salon, across from the Canyon Theatre Guild, owner Sabina Fetter will hold a fundraiser for Pan-Can, the pancreatic cancer action network.
