Players and Sponsors Sought for Local Fundraiser

In an effort to raise funds for the Domestic Violence Center of the Santa Clarita Valley, the organization will host a Bowl-a-Thon at Valencia Lanes, located at 23700 Lyons Avenue in Santa Clarita on Sunday, April 15, 2007 between 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The Bowl-a-Thon will include bowling, plus raffles, prizes and a silent auction.  Anyone may sign up to bowl at 1 p.m. on April 15.  Each bowler will bowl three games, receive rental shoes and a raffle ticket for great prizes.  The cost is $65 per bowler and is tax deductible and bowlers should arrive 30 minutes prior to their bowling time.

“We are inviting everyone to join us at the Bowl-a-Thon.  We encourage people to get sponsors to cover their sign-up costs.  It will be a great day for friends and family to enjoy a few hours bowling together,” commented Jorja Harris, Board of Directors President for the Domestic Violence Center of the Santa Clarita Valley.

The Domestic Violence Center of the SCV promotes and preserves non-violent, non-abusive family systems through community awareness, education and assistance to families victimized by domestic violence.  The Center is a non-profit organization that has served the Santa Clarita Valley for over 22 years.

For more information on the Bowl-a-Thon or to sign up, contact the Domestic Violence Center at 661-259-8175 or you may download a registration form at the Center’s website:
