Saturday afternoon, College of the Canyons played host to the 2009 Discovering Careers Fair.
The fair is unlike normal job fairs. Students of all ages were invited to roam the halls, talking with real professionals from every field imaginable. Whether the student is 9 or 19 matters little; the information garnered from the fair can help to shape the path of their education and career training.

Last year’s Discovering Career’s fair was a major success, and that prompted organizers to expect an even greater showing this year. Preliminary estimates seem to indicate that their goal was realized.
The event is put on by the SCV School and Business Alliance, William S. Hart District, College of the Canyons and all local elementary school districts. Boston Scientific served as the title sponsor, while KHTS AM-1220 and Wildcat Technologies provided other sponsorships.
