Three people were arrested Monday in Richard Rioux Park by a Parks Bureau sergeant during a routine traffic stop.
The officer stopped a truck for a traffic violation around 9:15 a.m. While he was talking with the driver, he noticed an unusually large number of stainless steel pipes in the rear of the truck.

Upon further investigation it was determined the pipes, valued at $5,000, were stolen from a building in Ojai. All three occupants of the vehicle were detained, pending the arrival of detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department. The Ventura detectives arrested Scott Gannon and Della Brown, both residents of Ojai on suspicion of receiving known stolen property.
Both suspects were transported back to Ventura County Jail and booked. The other passenge, Ojai resident Timothy Creech, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. He was booked at the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s station where he is being held in lieu of $10,000 bail.
Creech faces the possible addition of receiving known stolen property charges from the Ventura County District Attorney.
