Three Arrested On Felony Charges

Deputies stop car reported stolen in Stevenson Ranch, arrest occupants.

 

Deputies arrested three suspects in a stolen car Friday night on Sierra Highway near Placerita Canyon Road. Inside the car, deputies found drug paraphernalia, identification documents belonging to other individuals, a pellet gun and other property taken in Valencia-area burglaries.

The driver, Christopher Morejon, 20, of Canyon Country was booked on suspicion of felony grand theft auto and receiving stolen property, as well as misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of methamphetamine. He was on felony parole and is being held without bail.

The front seat passenger, Jaspreet Bassi, 29, of Newhall was booked on suspicion of felony auto theft and receiving stolen property as well as misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of personal identifying information and petty theft. He is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.

The rear passenger, Jackie Clair Hiner, 21, of Castaic, was booked on suspicion of felony charges of auto theft and receiving stolen property and misdemeanor charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance. She is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.

All three suspects were booked at the Santa Clarita Valley station and are scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
