Friday night is party night for the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce at the annual Member Recognition and Installation dinner at the Hyatt Ragency Valencia, where board members, ambassadors and businesses will be recognized for their contributions and accomplishments in 2010.
The event puts the spotlight on people and organizations that have offered their time and services for the betterment of the community, with a special spotlight on the outgoing 2010 Chairman of the Board, John Shaffery, and the Chamber’s accomplishments under his leadership.

It will also serve as the official swearing-in of Dana Cop as the 2011 Chairman of the Board as well as the new Board of Directors.
And to keep the highlights going, this is the first big Chamber event for the new President/CEO Terri Kingery, who was recently hired by the Chamber to run the organization.
In addition to recognizing Chamber leaders, awards will be presented to the Small, Medium, and Large Business of the Year, as well as to the Ambassador of the Year, in recognition of his or her dedication to the Chamber.
The program starts at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails and the opportunity to socialize with other members of the business community. Dinner, presentations and speeches follow shortly thereafter.
The evening offers great food and entertainment, and is an excellent venue for getting to know other members, the Chamber staff, and what the Chamber is all about. Tickets are still available, the cost is $85. The Hyatt Regency Valencia is located at 24500 Town Center Drive.
