Time Warner Cable is expected to write a check for $140,000 to Los Angeles County following an audit of four franchise agreements, including one for the unincorporated areas around Santa Clarita.
The confidential settlement, expected to be approved by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors by the end of the month, resolves a claim that the cable provider owed the county $257,000 from 2004 to 2007.
Those funds consist of approximately $61,000 in underpaid franchise fees, plus late fees, interest and audit reimbursement fees.
