Routine traffic stop yields much, much more.
[view:node_ad=5]Just before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, California Highway Patrol officers stopped a vehicle on the I-5 just north of Santa Clarita for having it’s windows tinted too dark.
Upon questioning the two men in the car, they came to realize that the driver did not have a driver’s license.
As is standard for such a violation, the driver was cited and the car was impounded.
However, a big shock came when officers conducted an inventory of the car, finding $100,000 in cash and 9 pounds of cocaine.
The suspects, both Washington residents, were immediately taken into custody and are being held on $1.1 million bail.
