In the Santa Clarita Valley today, a meal at Chili’s is also a donation to the Domestic Violence Center.
The restaurant chain has two locations in Santa Clarita, where 15 percent of all proceeds from diners who present this flyer through 11:00 p.m. Tuesday will be donated directly to our local Domestic Violence Center.
In order for the sale to qualify for a donation, diners must present a special flyer, which can be printed by clicking here.
Domestic violence centers have jumped into the spotlight recently, in light of last year’s crime statistics. All but one of the murders that occurred in the Santa Clarita Valley were related to domestic violence, and our one local shelter had been rocked by state funding cuts. A one-time stop gap was presented last year by Assemblyman Cameron Smyth; however a similar funding solution has not yet been found for 2010-2011.
