This Weekend in Santa Clarita brought to you by our friends at Facey Medical Group;

–Get those bikes out and get your peddlin’ on! In preparation for the Amgen Tour of California, set to come to Santa Clarita in February, all Santa Clarita residents are encouraged to participate in “Hit the Trail,” from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. this Saturday.  The day kicks-off with Mayor Frank Ferry leading the way to Bridgeport Park where there will be food, giveaways, and community booths raising awareness for cancer.

–Ever wanted to dig up your family’s past but didn’t know where to begin? –Witness the roasting of a lifetime! KHTS co-owner Carl Goldman has offered up himself to be the subject of good-natured jokes from community leaders—all in the name of healthcare! “The Elks Roast of Carl Goldman” fundraiser will be held at The Elks of Santa Clarita at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, with the roast beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are tax-deductable, and funds raised will go towards the Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers.

To donate items, drop them off between the hours of 6:30 and 8:00 a.m., and funds raised will go towards the soccer program at Canyon High School.

–Enjoy an American Classic brought to life at The Repertory East Playhouse. Tennessee Williams’ “A Streetcar Named Desire” opens Friday night with a Wine Gala, and food catered by Loose Goose Wine Festival and RSVP Catering.  The show runs from January 23 until February 21st, with Friday and Saturday night, and Sunday matinee performances.
