-Head to the Valencia Hyatt for the 6th Annual “Festival of Trees, ” a fundraiser benefitting more than 3,500 local kids at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Clarita. Open to the public from 9:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday, November 15th, this year’s festival features many elaborately decorated Christmas trees, as well as Holiday gift items for sale and delicious treats to enjoy.

-It’s Air Force week in Los Angeles, and to celebrate, Edwards Canyon Country theater will be screening “Fighter Pilot: Operation Red Flag,” a movie that chronicles the events of a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force as he completes his final and most dangerous training mission before being sent into actual combat. Show times are at 3:00pm and 6:30 pm on Sunday, November 16.

-The Santa Clarita Valley Scholarship Foundation is holding “AfterWORDS ’08,” a book-signing event and fundraiser to benefit students in the Santa Clarita Valley. The SCFSF supports higher education for all youth, and this fundraiser will go towards supplying scholarships for students in need.

-Take a trip down the 126 for the Rancho Camulos Museum “Book Extravaganza,” a used book sale, with much more than books up for grabs. Rain or shine, you can enjoy museum tours, kids chalk art, and a reading corner for the kids while getting some holiday shopping finished.
