See What's Cool for Kids in Santa Clarita at Child & Family Center's 6th annual Kid Expo. Thousands will attend the event on Sunday, October 19 at Golden Valley High School from 11am to 4pm. The FREE event features over 130 exhibits of local businesses offering products or services for children.
Kid Expo features exhibitors from throughout the Santa Clarita Valley showcasing products and services for children. From sports to karate, dance to art, gymnastics to books and tutors, kids and parents can discover the many local events and businesses available for children throughout the SCV. There will be fun games, arts and crafts, reading and storytelling, art, music, sports, and entertainment. There will also be special appearances by cartoon characters.
-Soroptimists International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley and affiliated friends launch their inaugural event, "The Wine Affair…Sip, Stroll and Savor the Sounds" on Sunday, October 19 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., along Town Center Drive in the Westfield Valencia Town Center in Valencia, California
– Take a lake-break! Adopt a rubber duck for $5 and race it on Castaic Lake this Saturday at the “Rubber Ducky Regatta.” Proceeds will benefit the Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers, Inc.
-Journey back to a land of sailors, nurses and exotic intrigue as College of the Canyons presents Rodgers and Hammerstein’s, “South Pacific.” A tale of two couples caught in the throes of racial prejudice, you will enjoy classic songs such as, “Some Enchanted Evening,” “Bali Hai,” and “Cockeyed optimist.” South Pacific opens this Friday and runs until October 26.
-Want to have a ghoulishly good time? Head over to Heritage Junction and Hart Park Saturday and Sunday for this year’s “Heritage Haunt Pumpkin Festival.” Sure to send chills up your spine are ghost hunts, gold panning, backstage tours, and pumpkin carving contests.
