Top Things To Do This Weekend, April 10, 2009

What’s on the calendar?

–Celebrate Easter weekend with the kiddies in your life, at the “City of Santa Clarita Eggstravaganza,” at 10:00 a.m. Saturday. Grab your baskets and join in looking for goodies left over by the Easter bunny! Held at Canyon Country Park and Valencia Glen Park, this event is free, and no registration is required. Just show up, prepared to find some tasty treats!

–The Christian churches of Acton and Agua Dulce proudly present the annual production of  “The Ultimate Act of Love,” an Easter Sunrise Celebration at Vasquez Rocks. Witness an authentic reenactment of the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ in a rugged and fitting atmosphere—the complex landscaping of Vasquez rocks! There will be a Saturday matinee show at 2 p.m., and the daunting, yet riveting 5:00 a.m. show Easter Sunday. Join in one of the biggest celebrations of the holiday, and Agua Dulce’s proudest tradition for over 50 years!

–Be sure to tune in to AM 1220 KHTS this Saturday, as Jason Endicott broadcasts live from our antique Fire Truck! This weekend marks the beginning of phase 2 of the “Canyon Country Extreme Neighborhood Makeover Program” from noon-2:00 p.m.  City staff and members of the Sheriff’s and Fire Department will join nearly 1,200 neighborhood property owners for this exciting and beautifying “block party.”
