–Hip hip, horray, it’s a Junie B. Jones day! Bring the entire family to the COC Performing Arts Center Saturday afternoon to watch the wildly whimsical first grader’s trials and tribulations in “Junie B. Jones.” Part of the “almost free family series,” this play is a perfect (and cheap!) way to be entertained for the day.

–Come on get happy at the Canyon Theatre Guild’s 10th annual Cabaret fundraiser, this year themed, “That 70’s Cabaret!” Reminisce the 70’s with The Partridge Family, Saturday Night Live, Animal House, bell bottoms, mood rings, pet rocks, and much, much more! Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for a petit buffet and open bar, and the show begins at 7:00. Don’t miss your opportunity to go back to “the good ‘ol days” while supporting your local live theatre!

–Get some “high culture” in your life, and attend the “L.A. Chamber Orchestra” concert at the COC Performing Arts Center, 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon. This free concert will feature virtuoso members straight from the Los Angeles Chamber orchestra performing a selection of chamber music, with a personal touch, as the musicians will introduce each piece directly from the stage.

–It’s that time of the year everyone loves—once we get over that lost hour of sleep, that is! This Sunday is the beginning of Daylight Saving Time, so be sure to “spring forward,” and set your clocks forward one hour Saturday night. You may lose one hour of sleep, but the days will last longer, and the promise of spring should soothe that momentary sting of sleepiness!
