Five local arts organizations received generous grants from the organizers of the TPC/West Ranch Art and Wine Gala during a special ceremony Thursday night at Valencia Wine Company.

The third annual gala was a success, offering patrons a chance to enjoy entertainment, gourmet food and wine and support the visual and performing arts in the Santa Clarita Valley.

A total of $48,500 was distributed to the five groups in the following amounts:

Santa Clarita Ballet Company – $15,000

Canyon Theatre Guild – $8,000 (Pictured above, Greg Finley and Brooke Veluzat in the CTG’s 2010 production of “Annie”)

College of the Canyons Performing Arts Center K-12 Arts Education Program – $5,500

CalArts Community Arts Partnership – $8,000

The Joe Ranft/CalArts Alumni Scholarship Fund – $12,000
