Traffic Snarled On I-5 As Sigalert Closes Three Lanes

The California Highway Patrol closed three lanes of the Interstate 5 freeway at Magic Mountain Parkway after a commuter reported debris scattered across traffic lanes just after 5:00 this morning.

Witnesses reported that several big rigs and vehicles had struck the debris and were pulled over on the right shoulder. CHP also reported minor damage to the expansion bridge at Magic Mountain Parkway on the northbound side of Interstate 5.
