Four people were arrested Thursday morning after a deputy making a traffic stop noticed an unusual amount of newly-packaged merchandise in the vehicle.

According to Sgt. Derrick Ballentine, shortly after 4 a.m. deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and found the driver had no license. After the four occupants of the car got out, he attempted to inventory the car’s property and discovered numerous items that appeared to be new.

It was determined that the property – worth several hundred dollars – had been stolen from a storage facility behind CVS Pharmacy in the Granary Square shopping center on McBean Parkway.

Arrested were four North Hollywood residents: Brandon Vlaun, 43; “Baby Boy” Laluste, 35; Bernardette Kraft, 43 and Nicole Angelesco, 26. All were booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, on suspicion of felony burglary. They remain in custody in lieu of $20,000 each and are due in court on Tuesday.
