A vehicle drove off of a 100 foot ravine Thursday morning on the 5 Freeway, off of Calgrove Blvd, Fire officials said.

Crews were on scene at 9:11 a.m, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department Inspector Randall Wright.

The motorist needed to be freed from the wreckage and was taken to a local hospital, said Wright.
