Fire officials reported to Vasquez Canyon Road near Mystery Mesa Drive where they found a 67-year-old man whose car had gone over the side of the road, said fire officials.

The solo crash was reported at 5:35 p.m. to Los Angeles County Fire Department first responders who found the car 200 feet down the side of the road, said Supervising Fire Dispatcher Cheryl Sims.

California Highway Patrol officials also responded to the call and issued a SigAlert for the two-lane road at 5:54 p.m., said CHP Officer Tony Polizzi.

A witness said firefighters and paramedics had to carry the man up the hillside.

The 67-year-old man was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital with possible broken bones in leg and ribs with some other cuts and bruises, fire officials said.

The incident ended at 6:51 p.m., Sims said.
