The victim of the fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on San Francisquito Canyon Road on Friday night has been identified by California Highway Patrol officials.

The victim of the fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on San Francisquito Canyon Road on Friday night has been identified by California Highway Patrol officials.

Kevin Lynn Gewecke, 48, of Acton, was riding a motorcycle southbound on San Francisquito Canyon Road when, “for an unknown reason, the vehicle left the road,” said Sgt. P. Haggard with the CHP Newhall Office.

Gewecke sustained fatal injuries from the crash, Haggard said.

San Francisquito Canyon Road was shut down for approximately four hours on Friday night for investigators to identify the cause of the crash.
“The cause is still under investigation, said Haggard. “We’re not sure whether alcohol is a factor yet.”
