The woman was identified as 25-year-old Sha Nita Kelly, said Lt. Kelly Yagerlener of the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner.
The accident occurred at 9:31 p.m. north of Newhall Ave. on the SR-14, according to the California Highway Patrol report.
The woman was driving a 2003 Chevy and made an unsafe turn which cause her to lose control of the car, according to the CHP report. The car veered off the roadway, slammed into a guardrail, became airborne and then rolled several times, landing on it’s roof on a dirt embankment on the side of the road on Newhall Ave.
Both CHP and Los Angeles County Fire Department officials responded to the scene.
