The victim is believed to be a female teen, but her identity has not yet been confirmed by officials.

Eastbound on Soledead Canyon Road, at Rainbow Glen, is being shut down as officials work around the collision scene.

Initial reports indicate the death might have been an accident, as opposed to a suicide attempt. The nature of the death is still under investigation.

  8. My husband was on the train that struck this poor girl. He witnessed her death happen. With all the victims of this horrible tragedy, those on the train who could not stop this from happening are permanently traumatized. The public needs to recognize the terrible position the train crews are in every time this happens. Sometimes, they are so damaged that they are never able to come back to work. I will be spending my next weeks comforting my husband who is currently falling apart, feeling such heartache and empathy for this poor girl who will never grow up, marry, have children. Our prayers are with her family and loved ones, may her precious soul rest in peace.

    • I know one of the guys who was on the train also and i totally agree with you

    • Hi Arlene,

How did it happened? Did she see the train coming? Could you give us a little information about this accident? Thank you for your time.

      • it was not a suicide!!! she was not alone, she was with a friend and it all happened because she was going to miss the bus to school.
so the guy that she was with ran across the train tracks and told Kimberly to run as well. Sadly, as she was running the train caught up with her and she froze in the middle of the tracks not knowing what to do: If she should run back, run forth, or stay there. Unfortunately she thought of it too long and the train took her…
Rest in peace beautiful angel…You will be missed..
Prayers go out to her sister, Elizabeth Jimenez, her mom, and family. #staystrong

        • I am sorry, but you are mistaken. Nobody ran across the tracks before her. Nobody. Unfortunately, stories are told. There is a lot of information that the public does not know. She was walking at a constant, methodical pace, and never looked anywhere but straight ahead. She never ran. She never looked at the train.

      • She just walked up, kept walking, past the stopped cars, past the gates down, flashing lights, train horn blaring … he said it was like she was in a trance.

  9. May God bless The family and friends…they are in our prayers

  10. She got hit at RainbowGlen and Soledad. Ruther ave is a half mile away. Get your storys righ.

  11. There’s no way that could have been an accident. Those trains blair their horns through here long before they reach the intersection and all the way through it. Now everyone is putting flowers down for her and their on the tracks to. This is the second person to get hit by the train at this intersection. There will be more cause they won’t stay off the tracks.

  12. Very sad to hear of a young life end this way.May God give peace to her mother and family, friends.

  13. Very sad to hear of this young life ending this way.

  14. So sad.My prayers go to the mom.

  15. Please donate if possible. Kimberly left behind a single mother and a sister. There is no life insurance and this grief stricken family has to bury their daughter/sister way to soon.

  18. My God Hold You In The Palm of HIS HAND. I PRAY THAT YOUR FAMILY WILL KNOW THE PEACE THAT ONLY GOD CAN GIVE TO YOU….

YOU ARE IN THE PRAYERS OF 10000 AND YOU WILL KNOW HIS LOVE…

    BLESSINGS….
