Caltrans will be closing sections of the Highway 14, from the I-5 to Sand Canyon Road in Canyon Country starting next week.

The pavement rehabilitation project may close the freeway from the afternoon until early morning the next day to complete the project. Detours will be posted to direct traffic, and advanced notices will be given.

This is part of the ongoing $6 million dollar project contracted by J. McLoughlin Engineering Co, and is expected to finish in the summer of 2016. The new pavement will improve mobility and enhance safety for motorist.
Monday, August 24, through Friday, August 28
Northbound SR-14
- 7 p.m. to 3 p.m. – Up to four lanes between I-5 and Sand Canyon Rd.
- 6 p.m. to 3 p.m. – On- and off- ramps CLOSED between Sierra Highway and Sand Canyon Rd.
- 7 p.m. to 2 p.m. – Connector from northbound I-5 CLOSED
- 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. – Freeway CLOSED at Golden Valley Road.
Southbound SR-14
- 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. – Up to four lanes between Sand Canyon Rd and I-5
- 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. – On- and off- ramps CLOSED between Sand Canyon Rd. and Sierra Highway
- 11 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Connector to southbound I-5 CLOSED
- 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. – Freeway CLOSED at Golden Valley Road.
Friday, August 28, through Saturday, August 29
Northbound SR-14
- 7 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Up to four lanes between I-5 and Sand Canyon Rd.

The times listed make no sense. 7pm to 3pm – 6pm to 3pm. Every post about the closures has ben like this. I’m sure you are copying this from Caltrans since they have the same info but for those of us that have to drive these routes it’s nuts.
