Caltrans officials are planning to close parts of Highway 14 from the I-5 freeway to Sand Canyon Road as part of a pavement rehabilitation project.

Closures are as follows and subject to change:

Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19

Northbound SR-14

•         7 p.m. to 3 p.m. – Up to four lanes between I-5 Freeway & Sand Canyon Rd
•         6 p.m. to 3 p.m. – On and off ramps CLOSED between Sierra Highway & Sand Canyon Rd
•         7 p.m. to 2 p.m. – Connector from northbound Santa Ana (I-5) Freeway CLOSED

Southbound SR-14

•         6 p.m. to 5 a.m. – Up to four lanes between Sand Canyon Rd & I-5 Freeway
•         5 p.m. to 5 a.m. – On and off ramps CLOSED between Sand Canyon Rd & Sierra Highway
•         11 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Connector to southbound Santa Ana (I-5) Freeway CLOSED

Friday, June 19, through Saturday, June 20

Northbound SR-14

•         7 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Up to four lanes between I-5 Freeway & Sand Canyon Rd
•         6 p.m. to 7 p.m. – On and off ramps CLOSED between Sierra Highway & Sand Canyon Rd
•         7 p.m. to 2 p.m. – Connector from northbound Santa Ana (I-5) Freeway CLOSED

Southbound SR-14

•         6 p.m. to 7 a.m. – Up to four lanes between Sand Canyon Rd & I-5 Freeway
•         5 p.m. to 7 a.m. – On and off ramps CLOSED between Sand Canyon Rd & Sierra Highway
•         11 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Connector to southbound Santa Ana (I-5) Freeway CLOSED

This project may require FULL Freeway closures. Advance notices will be provided.

Detours will be posted. New pavement will improve mobility and enhance safety for motorists.  J McLoughlin Engineering Co. is the contractor on this $6 million project which is expected to complete in the summer of 2016.
