Five people were injured in a two-vehicle traffic collision Monday night in Saugus, fire officials said.

The crash occurred at about 10:40 p.m. near the intersection of Bouquet Canyon Road and David Way, according to Los Angeles County Fire officials.
“There were three people trapped in the collision,” said Inspector Gustavo Medina. “All the patients were successfully rescued from the vehicles.”
Three of the victims were reported to be in critical condition, the other two had moderate and minor injuries, Medina said.
The critical patients were transported to a local trauma center, Henry Mayo Memorial Hospital.
The condition of the victims is unknown at this time, but the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, officials said.
