First responders received the call for a traffic collision into a structure around noon, with no injuries reported, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The traffic collision was reported in the 26500 block of Bouquet Canyon Road in Saugus. The car smashed through into the lobby of Massage Elements, a massage therapy practice near the intersection of Bouquet Canyon Road and Newhall Ranch Road.
“When unit arrived on scene they reported a vehicle did go through a glass window,” a Los Angeles County Fire Department spokesperson said.
Witnesses on scene reported the driver accelerated from a parking spot in front of the business, through the glass and into the lobby.
“Deputies on scene suspect the driver meant to reverse and then accidentally stepped on the gas,” said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Station.
The driver, described as a woman in her 60’s, was unharmed, said Miller.
The crash is still under investigation, according to Sheriff’s officials.
