Andrew Straughan, 24, was home from serving in the Marines when he was killed in a traffic collision Wednesday on Bouquet Canyon Road in Saugus.
“Andrew was very well loved by everyone he met,” Brittany Uhl, Andrew’s sister, said. “He just had such a big heart.”
The memorial is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, in Central Park fields seven and eight, according to the Straughan family.
“We are thankful for all of the showing of support from the community,” Uhl said. “It all has been a little overwhelming.”
Guests are asked to bring electric candles, in place of traditional, open flame candles, to prevent fires in the area.
