Two Victims Identified In Fatal Valencia Car Crash

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has identified the two people who were killed Saturday night after their car hit a tree near the I-5 Valencia Boulevard off-ramp.

Man J. Hong, 75, and Kang D. Hong, 71, were killed Saturday night after their car hit a tree off the I-5 freeway in Valencia, according to California Highway Patrol officials.

“It was a vehicle vs tree at the off-ramp,” said Supervising Fire Dispatcher Miguel Ornelas.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to the crash around 6:11 p.m.

“It resulted in two fatal injuries,” said Officer Brandt of the California Highway Patrol’s Traffic Management Office. “A male driver and a female passenger.”

Nobody was transported to a hospital by paramedics, according to officials

The crash is still under investigation, and officials did not disclose if drugs or alcohol were involved.
