Valencia Hit-And-Run Suspect Caught In Newhall

A suspect in a hit-and-run collision with a pedestrian in Valencia was detained Thursday afternoon by deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station after driving away into Newhall.

The incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. near the intersection of Newhall Ranch Road and Bouquet Canyon Road, officials confirmed.

Shortly after, the suspect was found by deputies and detained near the intersection of Railroad Avenue and 13th Avenue.

Sheriff’s officials did not release the victim’s condition Thursday afternoon, but witnesses at the scene said she appeared to be uninjured.
