The crash was reported around 7:50 a.m. with emergency crews on scene at 8:06 a.m., said Los Angeles County Fire Department Firefighter Humberto Agurcia.
The crash occurred on Golden Valley Road near Highland Drive, he said. The call came in reporting a two-vehicle collision with a person trapped but when officials arrived, they found four vehicles with one rolled over.
Of the seven people treated at the scene, five were transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, Agurcia said. Of the five, one person was listed in moderate to critical condition. Two were flown to the hospital and three were transported via ambulance.
