Santa Clarita officials reported only one hard road closure within city limits, on the stretch of Placerita Canyon road and Sand Canyon Road that leads into Little Tujunga, after storms flooded the SCV over the weekend.

Residents are urged to drive with caution around recently flooded areas.

There are still several soft closures in place, officials said.

Despite the 10 a.m. evacuation lift residents near the Sand and Sage fire burn areas to re-enter their neighborhoods with valid ID, the Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 6 p.m. Monday.

Under the Flash Flood Watch, public safety officials urge residents to remain cautious while traveling through recently flooded areas, and to keep an eye out for fast moving water, boulders or debris in roadways; and report natural gas odors and downed power lines as soon as possible.

Heavy rainfall could still trigger flash flooding, and as a result, some roads may require additional closures. Officials warn that flash flooding and debris flows still pose a danger to those in and below the Sand Fire and Sage Fire Burn areas.
