Santa Clarita officials announced a series of road closures, expected to start at the end of the month, and continue until about mid-September in Saugus, to improve the city’s surface streets.

Beginning Aug. 31, Plum Canyon Road will experience lane closures as a part of the Road Rehab Project. Westbound lane closures from Via Joyce Drive to Santa Catarina will be affected by construction until Sept. 13.
From Wednesday, Aug. 31 until Wednesday, Sept. 7, the outside westbound lane of Plum Canyon Road will be closed. From Wednesday, Sept. 7 until Tuesday, Sept. 13 the inside westbound lane of Plum Canyon Road will be closed.
However, at all times a westbound single lane will be open on Plum Canyon Road.
Eastbound lanes will not be impacted.
The Road Rehab Project is part of the city’s $9.5 million annual slurry seal and overlay road preservation plan.
