Trail Trials Competition For Equestrians

Trail_TrialsEquestrian Trails Inc. is holding a Trail Trials competition on June 10 at the Antelope Valley Barrel Springs Dedicated Trail and Arena.  Riders of every skill level, horses of every breed, and all disciplines of riding are invited.

Trail Trials are a competition on a marked trail course on mountain trails, park trails, and in desert areas with natural or simulated obstacles that can be found on trails. The ride is two to three hours long and there is a volunteer judge for each of the 10 to 12 obstacles who will evaluate safety, performance, and control of each horse and rider team.

Trail Trials are open to all disciplines of riding, including Western, English, and Gaited, and to all breeds of equines, including Draft Horses, Mules, and Ponies.

Any appropriate attire normally worn for trail riding is accepted. Enclosed shoes are required (no sandals or bare feet); boots are recommended.  Approved safety helmets are also recommended.  Any type or combination of tack may be used; a saddle and bridle/bosal/hackamore are a must.
