Effective on Sunday, January 8, the City of Santa Clarita Transit will make schedule adjustments and expand commuter service to accommodate for increased ridership on weekday Century City buses.
“Santa Clarita Transit’s Century City buses are some of our busiest commuter routes, carrying approximately 1,600 riders each week. In response to customer feedback and overcrowding on morning and afternoon Century City trips, Transit is enhancing its schedule to provide additional residents with more commuter options,” commented Transit Manager Adrian Aguilar.

Santa Clarita Transit will expand commuter service on its Century City route by adding an additional morning and afternoon trip. Changes to the commuter schedule will benefit approximately 80 to 100 riders who use the Century City route daily. The new afternoon trip will also accommodate UCLA students and health care employees who end their workdays in the early afternoon and are in need of transportation to Santa Clarita.
To provide additional trips on Century City commuter buses, Santa Clarita Transit discontinued its 3:43 a.m. and 6:57 p.m. Lancaster trips as a result of low ridership.
