In a program called Trick or Treats for Homeless Pets, the DACC, in partnership with the LA Animal Alliance, is rolling out this fund-raising program for shelter pets.

There are three ways to help homeless pets via this program this Halloween season:

1) Go Door to Door,

2) Have a Fundraiser,

3) Throw a Party!

You can also donate online at www.TOT4HP.org, and you’re encouraged to spread the word through social media.

“This season typically begins the traditional end-of-year holiday parties, festivities and spirit of giving,” said Marcia Mayeda, Director for the County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control.  “Let’s keep our shelter pets in mind and raise awareness and some badly needed resources for them this holiday season.”

All six County Animal Care Centers and the Antelope Valley Adoption center will have donation collection boxes and online donations are gladly accepted.

For more information or to donate online, visit www.TOT4HP.org.  You can also visit the Department’s Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/CountyofLosAngelesAnimalCare for more information about this fun program for the shelter pets.
