UPDATE: Monday 5:15 PM – The U.S. Forest Service has called knock down on the ‘Tujunga Fire’ – which broke out just before 2 p.m. Sunday in the Little Tujunga area of the Angeles National Forest. Now 95 percent contained, fire crews will remain on scene to work on hotspots. The blaze burned along the 13000 block of Little Tujunga Canyon Road with damage being held to 130 acres.
LA County fire assisted the Forest Service on this blaze, and received support from both air tankers and helicopters. No structures were damaged and no evacuations were ordered.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury. Firefighters expect to achieve full containment this afternoon.
During the incident, Placerita Canyon Road was closed at Sand Canyon.
