Two Early Morning Fires Knocked Down

Canyon Country incidents keep firefighters on their toes.

Fire crews responded to two early morning fires in Canyon Country Sunday. The first was a small brush fire near Soledad Canyon Rd. and Shangri La Dr. just after 1:00 a.m. The fire was quickly put out.

Then at 7:30 a.m., a fire broke out off of Scherzinger Lane, near Sierra Highway. This blaze scorched three acres before crews were able to knock it down, and it was caused by a malfunctioning transformer.

No injuries or damages were reported in either fire.
