At 6:30 this morning, two Sylmar men were arrested for burglarizing two cars and stealing from a construction site according to Sheriff’s deputies. Daniel Santrini, 28, and Brian Martinez, 19, were spotted breaking into a car by a resident outside of his home on Garzota Street in Saugus early this morning. The resident reported the pair’s license plate number and they were caught by Sheriff’s deputies a short while later near Via Princessa and Golden Triangle.
Santrini and Martinez were loading cement bags, cinder blocks, and a pumping hose into their truck when they were arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property, and grand theft.

One car burglary victim was identified as living on Garzota Street and the other on McBean Parkway. The stolen possessions of both victims were returned today.
Sheriff’s deputies said Santrini was found in possession of methamphetamine and “dope.”
