Arrest is third of suspected five involved in gang-related assault case.
Two men were arrested during a morning raid Thursday for
their part in a September 14 knife assault in Canyon Country.
The pair are suspected to be part of a group of five gang
members who approached two men in the parking lot of the Sierra
Canyon apartment complex, asking
the men where they were from and if they had any money.
The five men then assaulted the two victims, stabbing the
18-year old victim several times and punching and kicking the 19-year old
victim. The 18-year old was treated at a local hospital.
George Anthony Alvira, 20, and Charles Andre Anderson, also
20, were arrested by detectives around 8 a.m.
and booked at the Santa Clarita sheriff’s station. Both face possible charges
of attempted murder and are each being held in lieu of $570,000 bail.
Already in custody on the same case is Leonardo Garcia, who was
arrested Monday. He is being held on a no bail immigration hold at the Twin
Towers facility.
