Two Pedestrians Hit By Car

Accident seriously injures two 19 year olds.

Just after 10:30 this morning, two pedestrians were walking on the sidewalk along Bouquet Canyon Road near Espuella Dr. At the same time, a Honda driven by a 19 year old Palmdale resident named Preston Barton cut off Saugus resident Christopher Guillermo, who was driving a Saturn.

The move caused the Saturn to hit the Honda in the rear, which forced the Honda out of control.

The pedestrians, Alfonso Garcia and Anna Martinez were then struck by the Honda.

After being treated by emergency responders, the two 19 year old victims were transported to Henry Mayo where they are listed in serious but stable condition.

Santa Clarita Sheriff’s officials do not believe that alcohol was a factor in the collision.
