The suspects have been identified as Andrew Khachatourian (pictured left), 21, a Valencia resident, and Chase Garcia (pictured right) , 20, a Saugus resident.

Santa Clarita Detective Bureau have been investigating several vehicle burglaries in the Bridgeport area of Valencia which have occurred over the past month.

“We got to them pretty quick,” said Mike Marino, detective at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

During the early morning hours of June 13, an observant resident saw two suspicious men walking through the neighborhood. He contacted Santa Clarita Sheriff deputies, who responded.

The suspects were arrested at 3 a.m., and found to be in possession of various stolen property.

Through follow up investigation by detectives numerous items valued at thousands of dollars were recovered, including two laptops and several iPods.

The total number of burglaries committed is still unknown. However nine victims have been identified so far.

“Just getting the word out has helped to identify victims,” said Marino.

Several recovered items have already been returned to the rightful owners. Additional recovered property has yet to be returned.

“I’ve got more calls that are coming in so I’m sure that number is going to go up,” said Marino.

Detectives are looking for the public’s help in identifying additional victims.

Both suspects have prior criminal records, which are not available at this time.

Both suspects are being held on bail at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. Garcia is being held on $10,000 bail, and Khachatourian is being held on $20,000 bail.

The suspects are expected to appear in court on June 17.
